Halloween Spectacular returns to downtown Sault Friday Sault Ste. Marie’s downtown is prepping for its annual Halloween Spectacular, which will be held this Friday evening. The list of activities includes trick-or-treating for kids, in-store sales and specials for adults, and hay rides for everyone. Downtown Development Authority Director Justin Knepper said in the past, the event has drawn thousands of people with great costumes. “It’s one of downtown’s busiest activities,” he added. Over the past few years, the DDA has worked with other groups to bring haunted houses downtown and this year is no exception. The Soo Theatre’s “Wicked Woods” will be open from 5-7 p.m., and the Rotary Haunted House above the Haunted Depot (prepared with help from Malcolm High School students) will run from 5:30-8 p.m. Admission to both is $3.
